Zeke’s Cat-God Guide
In 2002 I was visiting one of my best friends and after I came into the house she told me that her cat, Zeke was not doing well. He was about 4 years old and was normally a healthy indoor/outdoor cat who hunted and ran around on their 12 acres freely.
She worried that he might have been hit by a car. He hadn’t moved from the chair he was curled up on for 2 days and she had been forcing water with an eye-dropper every few hours.
I asked if I could work on him and she said yes right away, so I kneeled in front of him and opened the Reiki channels with the Reiki symbols for physical and emotional healing. I began sharing healing energy without touching his body – I didn’t want him to have any additional discomfort.
I always invite my client’s Angels &/or Spirit Guides to assist with healing and sharing of information and to my surprise Zeke had an amazing guide! I felt the energy surge just before I saw his guide zoom in from above, flying like a dragon but without wings, just a long whip-snakey tail and his face looked very similar to a Chinese Dragon with the colors and the moustache-wiskers.
He started screaming like an angry cat, “RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAEEEEERRRRRRRRRR” and I knew that it was an ancient cat language. I tried to understand what he was saying but I couldn’t, so I said out loud to him that I couldn’t understand him and that he should just do what needed to be done and I would be the channel for it.
The energy that passed through me into Zeke was extremely powerful and fast, lasting 5-10 minutes and then the cat guide flew away and the energy subsided. I felt that we were finished so I thanked all (the guides and angels) who were present and thanked Zeke’s Ancient Cat God Guide in particular and got up to wash my hands (part of my letting go of connection to spirit ritual).
When I came back, my friend was sitting next to Zeke and he had his head up and was looking around. She was petting him softly and as we were talking he struggled to his feet and gingerly jumped off the chair, heading to the kitty door a few feet away.

Clearing Blocked Energy
In January, 2016 I was talking to a friend who I went to visit at the Tucson Gem show in Arizona. I mentioned to him that although normally I am highly sensitive to crystal energies, since my arrival at the show I hadn’t been able to connect with a single one! Without hesitation, he handed me two large pieces of Black Tourmaline, one for each hand “to clear my overwhelmed energy” and the effect was instant! I swayed and felt like I might collapse as the energetic clearing whooshed through my body, from one crystal to the other. (I am HIGHLY sensitive, so this was not a normal response.)
I had to put the Black Tourmaline down quickly to stop the energy flow. As I struggled to regain a sense of calm and balance, I felt that the Tourmaline’s clearing of that which was getting in my way of connecting with the crystals, might not have been a blessing in this situation. I could now feel the intensity of sooooo much energy from millions of displaced Earth crystals and minerals! I left that room as quickly as I could, out into the sunshine, smelling the grass and walking on the Earth. Aaahhh, the sweet sensation of grounding!
As my Earth connection solidified and my head cleared I understood the power of Black Tourmaline for clearing energies that block clear connection to self and others. I also understood the power of blocking energies intentionally, in times of need. I felt a sadness from all those displaced crystals that were threatening to well up and overflow, so I re-established my blocking shield, but fine-tuned it to allow for some sensing of the crystalline energies around me. Seconds later, as I walked by another room, I was drawn inside by several HUGE spheres of Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz. By huge, I mean 24” – 30″ in diameter – the size of a yoga ball. I was pleased to discover that I could definitely feel them!
There are times when it is perfect, safe, and appropriate to clear away energy blockages. We often create energy blocks in challenging situations in order to be safe, without realizing it. Those kinds of blockages can pile up pretty quickly when we don’t have a system for clearing them out. Eventually, we feel “stuck” in patterns or just “stuck” in life. Black Tourmaline can be a helpful tool in clearing blocked energies, but if a person has years of blockages to clear away, Black Tourmaline may not be powerful enough to do the trick. That is when to seek out the help of an Energy Healer.
There are also times when it is wise to know how to protect & shield ourselves by blocking energies that threaten to overwhelm us. Even among my precious Crystal friends, I had to retreat into a space of numbness, to a certain degree, in order to do the work at hand. Right then, I was a buyer of crystal blessings wrapped in protective shields for distribution to those who did not yet know they needed them, not an empath.

On Friday I went to my office to pack up my healing table for the home visit healing sessions I had scheduled out of town. As I was leaving I noticed one of my rose quartz crystals in its bowl of many crystals, whispering to me. It wanted to come with me, so I dropped it into my purse thinking it might be for one of my first two clients. When I got into my car after those first two sessions I realized I had forgotten all about the rose quartz and thought, Oh well, I guess it just wanted to come with me for some other reason.
My last home visit was with a long-time friend’s adult daughter. I had been working with them both for several months to help them heal from Lyme disease. Part of that work was with helpful Spirit Beings and Crystals to establish protection in their home and continue healing while I was away.
When I checked in that evening I saw that the Spirit Beings had improved on my Energy Grid by using the large Crystals in the center of the house as the base of a tree that had roots into the earth and a strong trunk reaching up through the center of the house and forming a canopy of energy above the roof. The whole thing was made of energy supplying strength and stability for the two of them in particular, and for the other two family members (who I have also worked with). The Energy in the canopy connected with helpful healing energy in the universe and distributed it through the home’s energy grid.
As I watched the energy swirling in the canopy I saw it reaching down into the downstairs of the house and connecting to the rose quartz that was in my purse. The rose quartz then told me why it had come – it was to bring love and memories of better times back into their lives and to absorb the grief that they had experienced in more recent years.
We thanked the rose quartz and the helpful spirit beings and the Energy Tree for all their support and LOVE!
